Careers With STEM is a magazine series designed to get high school students in Australia and New Zealand interested in careers in all areas of science, maths, engineering and technology.
For this special edition of Careers With STEM, I wrote a primer on how apprenticeships and traineeships work, interviewed a diesel mechanic apprentice who fixes boats on a salmon farm, looked at ways to get into engineering without a degree, and apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities in mining and resources, health care and IT.
